Short Battery Packet
Band Directors & Percussion Instructors
Are you having trouble figuring out what your battery should play to work on the fundamentals? This packet was designed to provide developing drumlines with a structured foundation in timing, technique, sound quality & ensemble awareness. All while still being efficient? This battery packet exercise consists of:
-
16 on a Hand w/Dynamic Variations
-
16th & Triplet Note Timing
-
Accent-Tap Exercise
-
Double & Triple Beat Exercise
-
Gallop
-
Triple Rolls Exercise
-
Paradiddle Exercise
-
16th Note & Triplet Grid
-
Flam Accent Exercise
-
Stick Control
There is no tempo because I truly believe that every group should be able to work at their own pace or speed while still going after a goal of excellence. Some of the exercises have one dynamic written. Some exercises have two dynamics written, meaning that the louder dynamic is your accent & the lower dynamic is your tap. By all means, the dynamics are just there as a guide and a recommendation, but you can really mess around & do SOME of the exercises at different heights.
